FSBO Selling Process

As there are no agents in a FSBO type of sale…here, all you have to do is by yourself. The sale of a home or house by owner, without realtors, is not a terribly complicated process and can be completed by the owner himself to save the money. But the success of the transaction is dependent on the whole FSBO process than what steps are to be taken for this.

As an owner, you should be prepared well in advance as successful sale depends greatly on owner's efforts and his ability to present the home to potential buyers. From the starting, an FSBO process may grow as follows: First, the property must be valued in advance by the seller in order to obtain a reasonable sales price for property and then place it on market for sale by owner and advertise. Second, the seller must prepare a written real estate sale agreement, lead hazard form, and a real property disclosure form. Other documents should also be required by the laws of state in which the house is located. All these must be prepared by the seller and presented to the purchaser to be signed. Lastly, in the closing, the seller of the property prepares a deed, signs it, get it witnessed and notarized to transfer the property to the purchaser. Then the closing takes place in which the purchaser tenders the remainder of purchase price to the seller and seller pays off all liens and mortgages on the home or house so that the property can be transferred to purchaser's name.
